We set off from Letojanni, ten minutes from Taormina and a few minutes from Giardini Naxos: medieval villages, off-road descents through the mountains, technical riding in the river bed and a swim in the cold-water pools.
Briefing, helmets and a test ride, then we climb towards the mountains leaving the coast behind.
Meeting point on Google MapsA dive into local history and culture through the streets of the village, with a soft drink aperitif.
An adrenaline-filled descent, pure off-road, through the mountains.
Acceleration and technical riding in the bed of the Agrò river, right up to the limestone walls of the waterfall.
A swim in the pools carved out by the waterfall, where the water stays green and icy even in August, before the ride back to Letojanni.

90 minutes long
Starting from Letojanni, crossing a small river on the quads and arriving at a wonderful spot to enjoy yourself and swim among cold-water pools and waterfalls.
Swim, pizza and beer by the sea
The historic medieval streets of Forza d'Agrò and the village views at sunset, then technical riding in the dry bed of the Agrò canyon. Back to Letojanni.
For every activity: comfortable clothing suited to the season, closed shoes and long trousers recommended. We provide everything else, including a helmet and a disposable balaclava.
Not part of the tour: we arrange them separately, on request. Prices are per person.
The Ionian side of the Peloritani mountains is cut by rivers that have carved the rock for millennia. Two of these gorges are the destinations of the tour: on a quad you get there by riding up the river bed, on foot it would take hours.
On the Agrò river, between Antillo and Casalvecchio, above Sant'Alessio Siculo. Narrow, deep limestone walls, half covered by Mediterranean scrub. The name comes from the orange groves that once filled the valley.
The waterfall is about twenty metres high: as it falls it has smoothed the rock into a half-cylinder and hollowed out a deep natural pool at its foot, where the water stays green and icy even in August.
Above Letojanni, in the Gallodoro area. Here the river never dries up: it runs all year and has cut a narrow gorge where the walls close in until only a slit of sky is left.
The water descends in a series of drops — the largest about ten metres — collecting in pools and natural slides. It is one of the canyons most used by local canyoners, but from below you reach it on a quad.
Half a minute of fording, dust and green water. We take the photos along the way: you get them on WhatsApp when the tour ends.
Glimpses along the route of the tour.
The same piece of Sicily seen from below and from above: the quad tour through canyons and waterfalls, and the tandem paragliding flight over Taormina and Letojanni with Etna Fly. Do both activities, even on different days, and both cost less.
Two minutes of flying and off-road. Hit play — there is sound too.
